In the next government, 50% of the positions are held by women: DGA

“Women have the capacity, women can also make and make decisions. I see many women pushed forward and that the only thing they ask for is an opportunity, that is why we are going to consider that 50 percent of the government be made up of women”.

On her occasion, the teacher Delfina Gómez, candidate for governor of the State of Mexico for MORENA, PT and PVEM, announced that in her government she will promote gender perspective and equity, institutionalizing public policies and promoting equal opportunities for Mexican women.

Gómez Álvarez, has been emphatic in pointing out that her government will be made up of a “parity cabinet” in which half of the positions will be held by women, mainly those of decision-making, “for which reason she proposed various actions to institutionalize the gender equity policies and promote equal opportunities between men and women in access to employment and wages”.

The teacher proposed the following actions: reduce the wage gap between men and women in the State of Mexico, guaranteeing women’s access to labor equality measures both in the occupation of positions and in remuneration in public institutions.

As well as Promote public policies that promote the economic autonomy of women such as the promotion of fiscal stimuli and soft loans; also guarantee the patrimonial rights of women so that, in the event of divorce or separation, they are not left economically unprotected or stripped of their patrimony and take actions to ensure the payment of alimony owed.

The candidate for governor of the State of Mexico for MORENA, PT and PVEM, said that fiscal stimuli should be established for businessmen who provide employment opportunities for women; promote the presence and recognition of women in science, sports and cultural activities.

Finally, it should be noted that the teacher Delfina Gómez, promised that, during her government, the role of women in the entity will be given greater relevance to guarantee that they access and fully exercise their rights.

“Our commitment to Mexican women is so great that our government will have as a priority and as a transversal axis the vindication and visibility of the women’s struggle,” he concluded.
