The Cuban singer Dianelis Alfonso Cartaya, better known in the artistic world as La Diosa, responded forcefully and emphatically to her colleague, the singer Eduardo Antonio.
In a video that she shared on her TikTok account, the interpreter of “40 pounds” responded to the artist who referred to her as a lady following being criticized by a follower who questioned her scheduling a presentation in Miami the same day as the first concert of The Goddess in this city.
“You have to know who you bring home,” he wrote alongside the message. “For the man who has the concert on the same day as me, I mean sir because that’s how he referred to me, I wish him luck,” she said, visibly calm, although without hesitation.
“I have nothing once morest that, they are false profiles making people think they are upset because you are doing a concert” on the same day as me, he said.
“That doesn’t bother anyone. You do your concert, I do mine. You for your place, I for mine. Today you call me ma’am because you no longer need anything from me, but when you needed something from me you went to my house and it wasn’t ma’am, it was the love of your life. That’s how it works,” she reminded him.
In the same way, the artist wished her success in her presentation and many blessings. “I wish you luck and many good things… but be a little more honest,” she finished.
The followers of The Goddess congratulated her for handling the controversy without vulgarity. “I congratulate you for the way you behave now continue like this that is the attitude blessings”; “I am seeing a Goddess of Cuba totally centered and changed, she is great, these calm but sharp answers, beautiful”, said some.
“Who saw you and who sees you. I love how you have changed for the better and that you leave behind the madness and the way of expressing yourself before, so you look prettier”; “I love this new version of you, you look so cute, keep it up with that sweet attitude,” added others.
Earlier this month, Eduardo Antonio responded to the criticism he received from some of his followers for scheduling his concert in Miami for April 22, the same day as La Diosa de Cuba.
Through social networks, “El Divo de Placetas” indicated that it is not disrespectful, as a follower stated, but rather part of his programming.
“I think the only disrespect here is you, ma’am, and what a shame that a lady speaks to me with such incoherence and audacity,” the artist-in-residence in “The City of the Sun” initially said.
“First I sing every weekend, either in a nightclub or in private shows. Second in Miami on Saturdays there are many concerts by different artists. Third, in Miami there is an audience to fill all those places, nobody takes anything from anyone and there are tastes for everyone, ”she said.
Meanwhile, the artist called his follower daring. “I think that if you dared to point out to me what you should do is buy 10 or 20 tickets for the lady for her concert,” she said.
“Ah, I forgot that you are not a follower of hers or mine, what you like is to create controversy, what a pity that you are now exposed, here each artist defends his story and his work and I do not allow anyone to come and hang from me to look for a moment of fame”, sentenced the singer.
“On April 22 I sing at @thedirtysweet_restaurant, reservations at 7866473068,” he ended in the middle of promoting his next presentation.
However, following the controversy, the day before, El Divo publicly expressed his support for the concert of La Diosa, as a sign that the differences were settled.
