The radical national senator for Tierra del Fuego Pablo Blanco presented a draft resolution in which he asks the national government for reports on the deployment of security forces of the Republic of Kosovonot recognized by Argentina, in the Falkland Islands to carry out military exercises in conjunction with UK troops.
In addition, it requests that it be detailed what actions the Argentine Foreign Ministry plans to take to elevate it to the United Nations Organization (UN) and if any formal complaint was made to the British embassy in Argentina.
Blanco considered the act “very serious” and pointed out that “the British have a clear responsibility in this joint deployment of troops that is inadmissible and condemnable.”
The senator, who is part of the Malvinas National Council, also asked to know if the Foreign Ministry is aware of the content and scope of the agreement signed between the British and the Kosovars to carry out these actions on the islands usurped by the British since 1833.
“I wonder if now we are also going to let the so-called republic of Kosovo carry out military exercises in the Malvinas with the consent of the United Kingdom. Great Britain must not make these shows of force, it must only respect the many UN resolutions and engage in diplomatic talks aimed at resolving this question of sovereignty in a definitive and peaceful manner”, he remarked.
The Republic of Kosovo, governed by an Albanian majority, declared its independence from Serbia, but 95 of the 193 countries that make up the UN, including Argentina, do not recognize this political fact that occurred in 2008.
