A 10-year-old boy died last week following fighting with another child at a trampoline center in Merced, California.
Investigators say Anthony Duran collapsed following a fight with a boy while they were playing basketball.
The other child would have fled following the battle.
Young Anthony was taken to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead, CNN reports.
An investigation has been opened to find out if charges might be filed in this case.
Images from surveillance cameras were viewed by the police who also met the parents of the offending child and several witnesses.
The relatives of the victim and his family do not understand what might have happened and why the police are slow to get back to them.

“He was playing football. He was boxing. He had just played basketball. He had no health problems,” said family friend Nellie Barragan.
“Why are the police taking so long to act? Why there were a dozen patrollers on the spot the day of the tragedy and that they are now talking regarding a medical problem, ”wonders Anthony’s aunt, Angela Reyes.
An autopsy was ordered by the area coroner’s office to shed light on the cause of the child’s death.
