The Federal Government has agreed on an amendment to the Building Energy Act. In a press conference, Federal Economics Minister Habeck (Greens) and Federal Building Minister Geywitz (SPD) also presented an accompanying funding concept.
In Berlin, the Federal Cabinet approved the draft law for the conversion of heating systems to renewable energies. From next year, all newly installed heating systems are to be operated with at least 65 percent renewable energy.
The regulations are flanked by exceptions, transitional regulations and funding opportunities to avoid social hardship. Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) and Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz are currently presenting the amendment to the law at a press conference.
