After releasing its first-quarter 2023 earnings report, Netflix on Tuesday revealed the date on which will begin to implement its shared payment plan once and for all, with the aim of preventing users from lending their passwords to others who do not pay for the service.

However, the current landscape is different. This quarter, Netflix reached 232.5 million subscribers, 4.9% more than in the same period last year, even despite having implemented a policy to control the use of shared accounts between users.
