Julieta Poggio spoke about her leading role in Coqueluche: “I’m happy”

Julieta Poggio, the former participant of Big Brother 2022, has confirmed that he will be starring in a play in the winter holiday season. The production is in charge of José María Muscari, who has been recognized for previous successes such as the historical version of the work whooping cough with Thelma Viral and Niní Marshall.

In an interview on the show Cut by Lozano On Telefe, Julieta was grateful to Muscari for this opportunity to have a leading role. The former participant of the Telefe reality show said: “I am happy to have this opportunity and so grateful that directors like Muscari have noticed me.”

The play that Juliet will star in is whooping cough, a comedy that was a success in its original version in 1971, directed by the Uruguayan Wagner Mautone. Julieta plays the eponymous character, a foul-mouthed young woman raised by nuns in a convent who is affected by an epidemic of whooping cough.

The plot of the play unfolds when the nun decides to leave the young woman in the care of a successful theater diva named Victoria Valdor. The young woman’s visit to the diva interrupts her weekend with her lover, a gigolo. Meanwhile, the arrival of the diva’s son will be a new starting point for fun scenes.

Juliet’s companions in Big Brother they also expressed their support and enthusiasm for his foray into the world of theater. Marcos Gianocchio said that Julieta always talked regarding her dream of acting in the theater, while Nacho Castañares admitted that he had to check Julieta’s artistic history to see everything she had told him.
