Shortly following 3:20 p.m. on Monday followingnoon, the Bern cantonal police were informed of a serious accident at work in the Hasliberg ski area.
According to current knowledge, an employee was out and regarding with a snow groomer on Planplatten in the Erzgrubeben area. For reasons that have yet to be clarified, the snow groomer fell regarding 200 meters in the direction of Rindermad, according to the cantonal police. The 54-year-old man was seriously injured. An emergency doctor might only determine the death of the Swiss resident in the canton of Bern.
In addition to various services from the Bern canton police, the care team from the canton of Bern, a Rega crew and the Swiss Alpine Rescue Service were on duty. The cantonal police in Bern have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
