There are several Venezuelan pitchers who have stood out in the first weeks of the season. Although the relievers are giving a lot to talk regarding, there is a starting arm that has performed well.

Despite not having his best outing, Jesús Luzardo had a good number of strikeouts in the Miami Marlins’ 4-3 win over the San Francisco Giants.
During this outing, the left-hander started very well, getting two outs of the first inning via the strikeout, however, from the second inning he began to present problems, receiving the first scratch of the match and in the next inning he allowed a couple more runs. However, the relay of the Florida team was solid and the offense reacted, to overcome the blackboard.

Jesús’ final performance was four and a third innings, where he managed to strike out six opponents, accept six hits and walk two.
So far this season, this was the Venezuelan’s fourth start and he is on the right track, with a 2-0 record, a 2.74 earned run percentage and 26 strikeouts in 23 innings of work.
