Well before the actual release of Diablo IV the “Hack and Slay” RPG has reached gold status. Therefore there is a small update for the release in June.
The gold announcement is an important milestone for Blizzard, which is not to say that it is sitting back now. The remaining weeks will be used to fine-tune and implement the feedback from the beta phase.
“Gold status is a milestone for the incredible team at Diablo IV who have all worked so hard to create the next generation of this legendary franchise. This is a concrete, meaningful step toward our June 6 launch,” said Rod Fergusson, Diablo General Manager.
For old and new players
Diablo IV appeals to both long-time veterans and brand-new players who are invited to explore the dark world of Sanctuary.
“Whether players are veterans of the franchise or new to the franchise, we can’t wait for everyone to experience the full game, partake in the incredible storytelling, experiment with character classes and builds, explore the endgame or the dark world of Sanctuary that Diabo IV has to offer.”
Endgame content includes the Battle Pass, which contains new story content every three months for Diablo IV delivers. Just completing the Battle Pass will take around 80 hours. Since there will be four Battle Passes per year, players would need to spend around 320 hours or just over 13 days in-game to unlock everything.
It starts on June 6th when Diablo IV officially appears.
