An added value and above all a great boost to a project that has been awaited for several years. The municipal council has approved the sale of three communal plots, route de la Mer, which, combined into one, will make it possible to build a center centered around health, bringing together doctors, pharmacists, medical analysis laboratories, physiotherapists, etc. . As well as offices.
“A beautiful project long hoped for by these professionals scattered over the town”, rejoiced Jean-Pierre Dermit. On these three plots, with a total area of 11,626m2, the previous municipality had issued two building permits for the overall creation of 72 housing units, including 69 social ones.
The canceled housing project
In 2020, during his election, the mayor had amicably negotiated the abandonment of the project led by the Logis Familial, in particular because of its excessive exposure to the risk of flooding. “The planned constructions were positioned in such a way that they formed dams in the event of flooding. The fear of the local residents was great. The future buildings will be located on the unexposed parts”, explained the mayor.
Sale price at more than 2.8 million euros
It is the promoter Promoca who, in collaboration with a group of health professionals from Biot, offers to buy these plots. The building complex will offer a floor area of 4,950m2.
Incidentally, as recalled by Jean-Pierre Dermit, the City realizes a capital gain, the land being sold 2,814,000 euros all taxes included (TTC). The promoter now has until July 27 to apply for a building permit.
There will therefore be no additional accommodation on this site. “We also need to upgrade our equipment. The fire station is in the red zone, like the football stadium…” concluded the mayor.
