Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Secretary of State for the Budget Alexia Bertrand went Monday evening to the ASBL Capital in Brussels, an organization which aims to help young people in the capital in the development of their talents. They went there on the occasion of iftar, breaking the fast during the month of Ramadan.
By initiating dialogue with young Brussels residents from the Muslim community, the Prime Minister wishes to fuel the debate on identity and entrepreneurship. “I’m very grateful to be here,” he said. “Our country has enormous potential, but we don’t always grasp it. I find that the action of ASBL Capital is phenomenal,” he said at the start of the iftar. “I’m a little hungry, but mostly I’m hungry for your ideas.”
Secretary of State Bertrand has also shown interest in young people in Brussels. “I find what you do extraordinary. I am from Brussels myself, and I know that the city is teeming with talent.”
