The governor of Loreto, accompanied by the provincial mayor of Alto Amazonas, the councilor of said province, led the relaunch of 100% space fumigation in Yurimaguas, with the aim of eradicating the dengue-transmitting mosquito that is wreaking havoc on the health of the neighbors of the province of Alto Amazonas. It is for this reason that authorities, officials and residents of the AA.HH. Villa del Paranapura, Plataforma and Pijuayal joined forces to fight dengue.
Dr. Chávez expressed his satisfaction at seeing the authorities, officials and workers who will carry out the fumigation united. “In Loreto we have lived in an epidemic for more than a year, but thanks to everyone’s quick action we managed to control the progress of this disease. Today we have dropped from the epidemic level to the alarm level and I am sure that we will reduce the cases that today we have, that is why I ask the directors of the Health Network to work hard to lower the figures,” said the governor.
For his part, Mayor Saldaña thanked the regional president for being present and leading this fumigation that will help reduce cases in that province, “our responsibility as an authority is to ensure the health and integrity of our neighbors,” said the mayor of Yurimagüino.
This activity also served for residents to remove their useless things from their homes, prevent them from serving as breeding grounds for mosquitoes, and prevent diseases that can cause health deterioration, including death. For this reason, the regional governor of Loreto came to Yurimaguas to be next to the local authorities and give political support to the activity.
