31st anniversary for La Foulée Meudonnaise

This Sunday, the Foulée Meudonnaise will celebrate its 31e anniversary. Nearly 2,500 participants are expected in the five events.

La Foulée Meudonnaise is an event dear to the inhabitants of Meudon. This race, launched in 1980, experienced a long crossing of the desert during the 1990s. In the end, this gathering remained on its feet and has been enjoying increasing popularity for 20 years. This Sunday, this event celebrates its 31e anniversary.

The Mеudоnnаіsе Cоnsеіsе, fаіt partіе of the Hаuts-dе-Sеіnе Trophy of the Hоrs Stаdе Cоursеs, оrgаnіsed by the Hаuts-dе-Sеіnе G eneral Cоnsеіl еnd the Cоmіté Dеpаrtеmеnt. To do this, several races are organized. It will start with the 1.8 km girls and boys. The route will be held mainly in the Meudon Observatory Park. The 800m will follow suit and will take place at the same location as the 1.8km.

A new course is coming to the fore

Three other slightly longer events are planned. The 5 km walk and the 5 km run are part of the planned races. These will start from the Parc de l’Observatoire de Meudon then the participants will enter the national forest of Meudon, do a short loop there before returning to the Parc de l’Observatoire.

Finally, the 10 km is the newcomer. This event will start from the same place as the four races, will cross part of the Meudon State Forest before turning back to the Observatory Park. La Foulée Meudonnaise will also invite people with disabilities as well as associations such as Dunes d’Espoir and Pompiers Raid Aventure, which want to contribute to the integration into social life of those who, because of their difference, encounter more difficulties than ordinary people.
