Since the health crisis, many French people want to change jobs, but the financial aspect seems to be a brake. Faced with this, the Professional Transition Project, a state system supported by the Transitions Pro association, allows you to retrain while being paid. However, criteria must be met.
Changing jobs, while being paid, is possible thanks to the Professional Transition Project, a state system, supported by the Transitions Pro association. Last year in Ile-de-France, 12,000 people, for example, were able to change jobs while keeping their pay during their training thanks to this aid. A mechanism that makes you dream, even if there are still some criteria to be met.
Retraining for a “promising” profession
At 42, Romain Deleu has spent most of his career in marketing. A year ago, he decided to drop everything to become a carpenter, but he might not have changed his profession without the help of Transitions Pro, the association that carries this Professional Transition Project set up by the State. . “I was able to maintain my salary at 90% of 3,500 euros, which was the remuneration I received as a communication manager. For a year, they not only maintained my salary, but in addition, they financed my training”, he rejoices at the microphone of Europe 1.
This financial support is significant with 30,000 euros per conversion project. But it also implies certain conditions such as converting to a so-called carrier profession. “You have sectors such as health and social services. You also have early childhood professions. Today, very clearly, we can say that the labor market is highly tense and that many companies have had to difficult to recruit”, underlines Stéphane Maas, director of Transitions Pro Ile-de-France. In any case, the device is interesting: nearly one in two French people plans to change jobs in the coming years, according to Center Inffo.
