He throws $200,000 out of his car window and gets arrested by the police

On Tuesday, a man was arrested for throwing $200,000 in cash out of his car window, according to CNN.

According to the Oregon State Police, in the United States, several calls were made to report that US 100 dollar bills had been seen on Highway 5, nearly 200 kilometers from Portland.

Several drivers reportedly left their vehicles in an effort to pick up tickets, witnesses said.

The person responsible for ticket distribution is Colin Davis McCarthy, 38. Estimating at 200,000 US dollars the amount thrown out the window, the driver would have made this gesture in order to “offer the money” to anyone crossing the road. The money would come from the family’s bank account.

Officers asked Mr. McCarthy to stop because “he posed a significant traffic hazard,” the statement said. He agreed to quit.

No charges have been brought once morest him.

“The motorists did a thorough job of picking up the money as officers were unable to find any other tickets following the incident,” police said in the statement.

The police department urged citizens to “avoid the temptation to look for money along the highway.”
