In 1973 Luis Alberto Spinetta released a classic and fundamental work of national rock: Artaud. Although the album appears under the name of the band Pescado Rabioso, the musician composed it as a soloist and it was the closing of his musical stage with David Lebón, Black Amaya and Carlos Cutaia.
In order to honor the album, Hernán Morales, Lucas Heredia and the Emerging Orchestra prepared a special show at Studio Theater. On Friday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m., the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of the iconic album will take place.
After the tribute that the Emerging Orchestra made last year for the thirty years of the album The love following Love by Fito Páez, and the concert of the album Cheap philosophy and rubber shoes by Charly García, this new concert completes the trilogy of the most emblematic figures of national rock.
This unique concert, under the direction of Hernán Morales, will have the presence of Carolina Merlo, who will open the show, to later give way to Lucas Heredia and the string ensemble of the Emerging Orchestra.

The Emerging Orchestra will reinterpret the work of the legendary artist in a format that brings together the best of popular music with the traditional organic of violins, violas, cellos and double bass, as well as drums and electric guitars. These are reversions, not covers, of the different songs on the album. The job is to take the original sound and then adapt it to string ensembles.
Spinetta’s music is an invaluable legacy for contemporary Argentine culture. The arrangements for the string ensemble draw on the renowned musician’s original guitar playing, while respectfully expanding his sonority to find the balance required by the carefully constructed songs of Artaud.
“This album, as a conceptual work, as a whole work, as a total artistic work, converges with poetry at a very high level. In addition, it is dedicated to Antonin Artaud, a French poet that “El Flaco” was reading at that time. The poetry of this album in conjunction with the music is of a level that still surprises us today”, explained Hernán Morales.
The presentation will take place under the direction of Hernán Morales, together with the musician Lucas Heredia, by the Emerging Orchestra composed of:
Violinists: Fiamma Acosta, Gonzalo Fabre and Cristina Teible
Violists: Arturo Ibañez, Paula Álvarez Schittko
Cellists: Ayelen Bustos, Tomás Palomeque
Double bass: Luciano Maro
Drummer: Matias Romero
Guitar: Matías Danglada
Arrangers: Hernan Morales, Fermin Sampo, Juan Thomas Palomeque, Augustin Molas Pozzi, Guillermo Rago, Diego Ferrer and Claudio Bazan.
