NCIS Hawaii: resounding flop for Jane Tennant, Timothy McGee called in as reinforcements, M6 changes strategy

This season, M6 tested an anthology of series on Saturday evening. Since February 2023 on the private channel, a spin-off of NCIS therefore appeared. This Saturday April 15, 2023 in the first part of the evening, the investigators of the island of Oahu led by Jane Tennant will know a striking case, in collaboration with the teams of NCIS for the launch of season 20.

One final lap for NCIS: Hawaii

In this never-before-seen, assistant manager Sweeney finally plans to catch Alden Parker and his ex-wife, Vivian Kolchak, following spotting them at a restaurant in Washington. However, when he enters the place with his men, he finds McGee (Sean Murray) et Knight (Katrina Law) in their presumed place.

Both agents believe that Parker (Gary Cole) is innocent and that he is the target of a mysterious crow that has previously attacked other members of NCIS. Director Vance is convinced their theory is correct and is willing to help them with their investigation, but he demands quick results.

This cross-over makes it possible to make a fairly smooth transition to NCIS without rushing the faithful of the series. There will be only one new this Saturday, April 15, before giving way to NCIS Hawaii at 9:50 p.m. But the channel made a crucial decision by relegating season 2 to 10:50 p.m. on April 22, 2023, following its resounding flop.

A winning strategy on M6

The series has not been able to pass over one million viewers for several weeks. On April 8, 2023, 943,000 French people followed the adventures of season 1 of this series, i.e. 5.9% audience share. If it remains higher than the previous Saturday, NCIS Hawaii absolutely does not compete with the competition and even finds itself below the performance of the unreleased Bianca.

The surveys of the young blind cop brought together on average nearly 1.6 million people, or 9% market share last January and achieved correct scores on the commercial target. By opting for this strategy, M6 hopes to get back into the race on Saturday evening, faced with the battles of The Voice on the antenna of TF1 and in the telefilm of France 2.

The continuation of the adventures of NCIS can be found from this Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the first part of the evening on M6.
