NEW YORK (15 avril 2023) – Dallas Stars left winger Jason Robertsonthe defenseman for the Carolina Hurricanes Brent Burns and Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Laurent Brossoit were named the NHL’s Three Stars for the week ending April 14.
FIRST STAR- JASON ROBERTSON, LW, DALLAS STARS
Robertson had six points (one goal, five assists) to help Dallas (47-21-14, 108 points) finish the season on a six-game winning streak en route to second place in the Central Division.
He started his work week with two three-point performances. He first had a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on April 10 before setting up three goals in a 5-2 triumph over the St. Louis Blues on April 12. Robertson was then shut out in a 1-0 win over the Blues on April 13.

The 23-year-old forward finished the regular season with 109 points (46 goals, 63 assists) and finished in the NHL’s top 10 in power-play points (5th; 41), points (6th; 109) , goals (7th; 46), differential (7th; plus-37), power play passes (th-8th; 28), shots (9th; 313) and assists (th-10th; 63).
His 109 points are a high by a US-born player 23 or younger, ahead of 107 points scored by Jimmy Carson in 1987-88 and Jeremy Roenick in 1992-93. Only Bobby Smith has scored more points than Robertson in a season in Stars/North Stars history, with 114 points in 1981-82.
SECOND STAR – BRENT BURNS, D, CAROLINA HURRICANES
Burns hit the target in each of his three games this week and was the top scorer in the past seven days with four goals to help the Hurricanes (52-21-9, 113 points) go 2 -1-0 and get their hands on the title of the Metropolitan section.
He scored once in each of his first two games of the week, a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Ottawa Senators on April 10 and a 4-1 victory once morest the Detroit Red Wings the following day. Burns added two goals, including the tiebreaker early in the third period, in a 6-4 victory over the Florida Panthers on April 13 that secured the Hurricanes’ division title.

The 38-year-old Burns had one of the best seasons by a defenseman his age with 61 points, including 18 goals. He equaled Raymond Bourque’s record (39 in 1999-2000) for most goals by a defenseman aged 38 or older.
THIRD STAR – LAURENT BROSSOIT, G, GOLDEN KNIGHTS OF VEGAS
Brossoit allowed a goal in each of his two starts to go 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals- once morest average and .962 save percentage to help the Golden Knights (51-22- 9, 111 points) to finish the regular season on an eight-game point streak (5-0-3) to clinch the Pacific Division title for the third time in their first six seasons in the NHL, as well as first place in the Western Conference.
He had two wins once morest the Seattle Kraken, first turning aside 20 shots in a 4-1 victory on April 11 before making 30 saves, including 18 of 18 shots over the last two periods, in a 3 win. -1 on April 13. This victory allowed Vegas to confirm the title of its section.
The 30-year-old Brossoit has played in 11 games this season, posting a 7-0-3 record with a 2.17 goals- once morest average and .927 save percentage.
