Khanzab Film Released April 19, Tells About Jin Disturbing Prayers

The Dee Company production house will soon be releasing their latest horror film entitled Khanzab. Dheeraj Kalwani, as the producer, hopes that the film will be welcomed by the public, especially since this film is shown during Eid al-Fitr.

“Hopefully it can be accepted by Indonesian film connoisseurs. It will be shown on the golden date,” said Dheeraj Kalwani while holding a press conference in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta.

The storyline is inspired by the short film Makmum. Riza Pahlevi as well as Makmum’s creator is happy that his short film can develop into a wider story.

“It’s really fun. After the two previous films, finally Makmum’s short film was packaged with another version,” said Riza Pahlevi.

Anggy Umbara as the director Khanzab using the story of the massacre of witch doctors in Banyuwangi, East Java in 1998 as the backdrop for Khanzab’s story. It is important for him not only to present horror stories in films.

“What we want to present here is entertainment that is both gripping and frightening, but still photographs a number of social issues that are close and also important to raise,” said Anggy Umbara.

In this film, Yasamin Jasem will compete acting with Tika Bravani, who made her horror film debut in Khanzab. This is also the first time Dimas Aditya’s wife has appeared on the big screen following 5 years of absence.

“Rahayu is a traumatized teenager, because she was always bullied throughout her life. Her father was a witch doctor, befriended genies, did a lot of supernatural things. There was a time when she fell down and completely changed from a cheerful child to a rebellious and full of revenge. His character is quite complex,” said Yasamin Jasem.

“I exerted all my abilities to give the best in this film,” said Tika Bravani.

Film Khanzab it is planned to start showing in all theaters in the country on April 19, 2023.
