Despite the opposition of former President Alpha Condé, the authorities of the Guinean transition repatriated this Friday, April 14, 2023, the body of the former first lady, who died at the American hospital in Paris following illness.
The body was received by the President of the Transition Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya accompanied by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Dr Bernard Goumou and several ministers, senior government officials, family and friends of the deceased, including among others: Dr Morissanda Kouyaté, Aicha Nanette Conté, Moussa Cissé, Djiba Diakité, Lancinet Condé.
The head of government who personally wanted to be there with family and friends to console them expressed his emotion at the arrival of the remains of the former first lady but took the opportunity to offer his condolences to the valiant people of Guinea.
“This lady has contributed enormously to social cohesion, has also contributed to the advancement of women and children. This first lady is characterized by incredible humility, she has a very pure soul. She has contributed, through her PROSMI foundation, to the development of education, women’s health and child health…”, he suggested Dr. Bernard Goumou.
The plane that transported the body landed on the tarmac of the Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport in Conakry with the children of the deceased, including Gnalen who was at loggerheads with Professor Alpha Condé. After the reception, the body of Hadja Djéné Kaba was transported to the morgue of the Sino-Guinean Friendship Hospital.
At the latest news, we learn that a day of mourning and meditation is planned for this Saturday to pay her a last tribute before the departure of the funeral procession for the city of Kankan where she will be buried.
