The association “Eths Ciderayres” chaired by Émilie Porte, municipal councilor, now has nearly 100 members. It takes its name from a very old activity in the village, certainly favored by its exposure, namely the cherry orchards. The harvesters, cherry merchants or ethic cider makers, left Bordes by train to sell their fruit in Tarbes. The association offers Pilates classes, computer training, baking and sewing workshops, monthly solidarity café meetings and a self-service library. Membership is not reserved for Claracais, we come from Tarbes, Peyraube, Burg, Tournay, Oueilloux, etc. Created in 2013 by Monique and Robert Forgues, the association celebrates its tenth anniversary, notably around two festive events.
A theater evening on Saturday April 22 at 9 p.m.
The Eths Escanacrabas troupe, who came from neighboring Oueilloux, will play their new play “L’Elixir” in the village hall. The evening will continue with music around a sweet buffet prepared by the association’s pastry workshop. “Everyone is invited” affirms Émilie with a big smile, participation is free.
A day at Dancharia, Saturday June 17
The departure from the communal hall is fixed at 8 am.
After a tour of the city and its shops, at 12 noon, participants will meet at La Nuba for lunch and a “Crazy Show”.
