Discover the innovations that the UVG Universe brings to Guatemala

The UVG Universe has laboratories, creative thinking rooms, an Audiovisual Recording Studio and national and international design competitions, areas where young Guatemalans can gain experience and knowledge that they will later implement to build a better society. Using these tools, students can design real products for recognized brands in the country and projects created at the Design, Innovation & Arts School UVG.

María José Navarijo is a Bachelor’s student in Product Design and Innovation and thanks to her leadership she was chosen to work remotely at Blash Design Studio in Madrid, Spain. During her last year of studies, she joined a project that helps start-ups in Europe, developing and launching new products on the market. What a chili!

Test of software

Alan Morales, student of Bachelor of Music Composition and Production, is emerging as a demonstrator of software for Sound Engineering. Thanks to the support of Diego Guzmán, director of the degree, Alan has had the opportunity to test different technological tools to produce music since the first year of his degree.

Throughout his studies, the student has gained popularity on platforms such as YouTube and international events, working in genres ranging from reggaeton to marimba.

Impacto en Kalea

students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design and Innovation They participated in a furniture project for Kalea where they had to develop functional products in line with decoration trends, as well as commercially viable in home or office environments. For its part, Kalea selected what they considered the best project proposal, which was later exhibited at the showroom of the Bell “GUATE INSPIRES”. Guatemalan students demonstrated their great talent, design capacity, innovation, and skills that they have developed during their studies.

Meet & Greet

It is 2023 at Design, Innovation & Arts School UVG and the Association of Exporters of Guatemala —Agexport— held a Meet & Greet to promote the networking among important personalities of the industry. It was an event where the culture of innovation in the orange economy was explored, an innovative sector that stands out for being the icon of creativity in commerce.
