The design and construction works of the building started in 2019. The director of the funeral home, A. Akinis, thanked his parents, wife, and colleague Nerija for their support and understanding of the idea.

In his congratulatory speech, the mayor of the district, Ramūnas Godeliauskas, was pleased with the spacious premises and assured: the municipality will ensure that public transport runs to this place, the schedule of which will still be discussed. Dalia Janulienė, the elder of the rural ward of Rokiškis, wished the owners understanding and compassion for those who apply here.

The symbolic opening ribbon was cut by A. Akinis, N. Blažys, E. Novikas and R. Godeliauskas.

Restrained

The opening of a funeral home is a rare event. On the one hand – as if he would like to wish success to his owners, on the other hand, he would like people to need such services as rarely as possible. So at the opening, which was conducted by Gediminas Kriovė, there was no euphoria, the speakers carefully chose the words of wishes, and the gifts brought by friends and acquaintances – congratulatory bouquets and plants – were handed to the owners quietly, personally. Violin melodies also created a restrained mood. It was played by Oksana Sadauskienė.

After the festivities, those gathered are invited to tour the premises and chat at the snack table.

Pastor E. Novikas admitted to “Gimtajam…” that he is participating in the opening of a building of such a purpose for the first time, until now he has not yet had to bless a funeral home.

Services – for everyone according to their pocket

Here, clients are offered all services related to funerals and everything is taken care of so that relatives have as little trouble as possible in a difficult moment. The building has three spacious, bright armory halls: the smallest has up to 30 seats, the others have 40 and 50 seats. Each hall has a separate rest room for relatives and an exit to the terraces. The mourning hall can accommodate 60 people.

Entrepreneurs have taken into account the needs of the disabled and the elderly, so they will be able to move freely both outside and inside the building, as there are no thresholds. Not only necessary services have been considered – from document management to grave care – but also such as ordering and bringing a priest and singers, even collecting slides or videos regarding the deceased, the possibility of using computer equipment and TV screens.

The service package is adapted to customers with various possibilities and wishes. Businessmen assured that both those with a limited funeral budget and those who want to organize a luxurious farewell to the deceased will be able to choose an acceptable service package.
