He explained, while speaking toNews 24That when the association applied for registration at the Ministry of Social Development at the time, there was no system for associations, and the United Nations agency was sought to establish the system.
He pointed out that the association was distinguished by its interest in community affairs and dealing with its needs, as it provided health and education services in its infancy, and then housing, before it recently turned to qualitative projects that serve the community.
And he indicated that the last of these projects is a partnership project with the Saudi Red Crescent, to build a headquarters for it in Saihat, which will be handed over to it soon.
Al-Matrod emphasized that the association has taken care of the elderly and people with special needs by establishing a headquarters and a social health complex for them since the beginning of its establishment, and it was developed in stages, and it now provides advanced health and social care.
He revealed that the association received the attention of officials, headed by the late Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, who inspected its projects during an inspiring visit in 1394 AH, the most prominent of which was the “Kindergarten”, the pioneering project at that time, indicating that the support of the association was from official authorities and good people.
