Although singer Taylor Swift is an absolute superstar, students who attend a concert and therefore stay up late are still not allowed to skip school the next day. At least that’s what a school board in the eastern United States thinks and justifies it in a video.

The special thing regarding it: The words of Taylor Swift are used in the video – more precisely: text passages from her songs. For example, it says, “All you gotta do is stay in class.” This is taken in part from the song “All You Had to Do Was Stay.” “I hope your seat isn’t empty on Friday morning” is a reference to the song “Blank Space”.

The background is Taylor Swift’s performance on Thursday evening in the US state of Florida. More will follow on Friday and Saturday. With the video, the employees of the school authorities apparently did not want to be seen as a big killjoy – and still wanted to get their message across.
