After Julius Caesar calmed down from the shock of killing his friend, he began wandering around the city as if he were king over the country. This provoked many of the patriotic Alexandrians.
Julius Caesar learned of the problems between the two brothers; He sent for them. Cleopatra entered the palace through her servant, who wrapped her in a carpet; So she emerged from it as Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty emerging from the shell, and Julius Caesar was impressed by her. After defeating her brother, Julius Caesar declared Cleopatra VII Queen of Egypt.
And she had to pay the price for Caesar’s help to her, and the price was a three-month Nile cruise, from which Cleopatra returned carrying his child in her womb, and Caesar returned to Rome following declaring Cleopatra queen of Egypt, and her husband from her brother Ptolemy XIV, and soon Cleopatra gave birth to a son From Julius Caesar. In the name of “Caesar”, and the Egyptians called him sarcastically “Caesaron”.
Egypt witnessed during that period of Cleopatra’s rule a strong renaissance in the economy and political life. And Cleopatra visited Rome and met Caesar, and she felt as if she had become queen of Rome. I stayed there two years. Then Julius Caesar was killed.
The unexpected end of Caesar represented a violent shock to Cleopatra, who gathered her sorrows, returned to Egypt, and declared her son Caesar (or Caesarion) her partner in ruling Egypt, following killing her brother Ptolemy XIV.
