Prices continue to climb, and for the French, it is becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet. Yet, in this critical context, they must also learn to be wary of a new threat: scams. A few years ago, you might protect yourself once morest this by not opening the door to a stranger. But these days, they mostly do a lot of damage online. So, lately, Once Upon a Pub learned of the existence ofa new scam, circulating via fraudulent emails. It is presented as an official message, issued by Air France. But the reality is very different.
Air France: how does this new scam work?
In this case, the scammers are using a technique called phishing. Clear, they pretend to be a big company (Air France), to gain the trust of Internet users. Apparently, they think they are dealing with a real email sent by the airline.
Make the recipient of the email dream
This message includes all the codes of Air France: logo, official colors of the company… And it starts immediately with very good news. It is thus presented as an exclusive offer, for which the surfer, decidedly very lucky, has been selected. Redirect the victim to a fake Air France page
To participate in this promising operation, the email encourages the user to click on a link. If he does, he will arrive on uweb page, which also includes the graphic charter of Air France. On the site, there are also a large number of false testimonies, supposed to convince the victim. Finally, a counter seems to indicate that we have very little time to respond and win one of the famous prizes.
Of course, none of this is true. The survey, presented as an experience of Air France, serves only as a pretext. Here, the objective of the scammers comes down to extorting data from the most gullible. Those who fall into the trap, reveal their personal information, find themselves in danger. Indeed, these elements can then allow crooks to usurp their identities, or even empty their bank account.

What to do with this fraudulent Air France email?
Even if this message revolts you, answering it will not help you. It is better to ignore it, and especially not to click on the link it contains. On the other hand, you can act, so that this Air France scam does not cause more victims. To do this, all you have to do is report this email to a platform like Signal Spam.
