Merdeka.com – Member of the Tanjung Balai City Council, Mukmin Mulyadi, who is also a fugitive the police for the case of narcotics absent from the examination of the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation of the North Sumatra Regional Police (North Sumatra). The Tanjung Balai DPRD member from the National Awakening Party (PKB) was absent due to illness.
“Information was due to illness so he was not present at the summons for examination,” said North Sumatra Police spokesperson, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, Thursday (13/4) evening.
After being absent from a scheduled examination. Police will recall Mukmin to undergo examination at the North Sumatra Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate next week.
“Yes (rescheduled,” said Hadi.
As is well known, Mukmin Mulyadi was appointed as a member of the Tanjung Balai City DPRD through a time change process (PAW) in March 2023. However, before becoming a member of the DPRD, Mukmin had been on the wanted list for the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation of the North Sumatra Police since October 2020. He was involved in case of possession of 2,000 ecstasy pills.
Mukmin’s inauguration as a DPRD member in the PAW process drew criticism because he was a fugitive from the police in a narcotics case. The North Sumatra PKB Regional Leadership Council even admitted that they had missed the inauguration. The reason is that in allowing Mukmin to become a member of the Tanjung Balai City DPRD, North Sumatra’s PKB only referred to a certificate of record police. [eko]
