Even During the Holidays, These Bank Branches Remain Operational

Many banks will have some branches open to customers during upcoming holidays so that they can provide basic banking services, according to a statement by the Central Bank. Banks will be closed on Sunday and Monday due to the Glorious Resurrection and Sham El-Nessim holidays. The Central Bank has directed for all banks across Egypt to stop work during the Eid al-Fitr as well as the liberation of Sinai holidays, which begins on Thursday, April 20, 2023, and ends on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Electronic services registration and subscription requests, currency exchange, cash deposit, and withdrawal will be limited to the bank branches that remain open during the holiday period. Banks allocate some branches to open their doors to customers during the upcoming holidays to provide some banking services.

Banks will close their doors on the coming Sunday and Monday on the occasion of the Glorious Resurrection and Sham El-Nessim holidays, according to a statement by the Central Bank earlier.

The Central Bank decided to suspend work in all banks operating in Egypt during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and the liberation of Sinai, starting from Thursday, April 20, 2023, until Tuesday, corresponding to April 25, provided that work will resume on the morning of Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

In the branches of banks operating during the holidays, dealing in them will be limited to changing the currency, withdrawing, depositing, and receiving subscriptions to electronic services, to start activating them following the banks return to work following the vacation.

In the following lines, Masrawy presents the branches that open their doors during the holidays:

Branches in hotels.

Branches in sports clubs.

Branches in malls.

Branches at airports.

In conclusion, while banks will be closed on the upcoming holidays, some branches will still be open to provide essential services to customers. These branches include those located in hotels, sports clubs, malls, and airports. It is important to note that services will be limited to changing currencies, withdrawals, deposits, and subscriptions to electronic services. We hope this article has provided useful information for anyone in need of banking services during the holidays. Stay safe and enjoy your vacation!
