“Autostopper” asked for drugs in Ebelsberg and became aggressive

The man is said to have stopped drivers at the train station in Ebelsberg on Tuesday evening and asked for drugs. The police were notified at around 7:15 p.m. A little later, the officers met a young Romanian who is not resident in Austria. The 30-year-old was arrested because he behaved aggressively from the start and did not calm down.

“He resisted massively, kicked around with his feet and tried to break away several times,” police said. It was decided to use the service weapon as pepper spray. Only then were officers able to get hold of the man. After the Red Cross had taken care of the 30-year-old, he was taken to the arrest car. He had become “highly aggressive” once more, kicked out his legs and injured a police officer.

The man was arrested and the hearing followed the next day. He didn’t want to hurt a police officer, he said. The 30-year-old justified his aggressive behavior with heavy drinking and drug use. He is now in the Linz prison.
