On April 18th at 7:30 p.m., Galerie H and Hertl Architekten invite you to the vernissage of Robert Gschwantner, a native of Ernsthofner who has lived and worked in Berlin, Naples and Rome for many years. He will be showing his work in Steyr in April and will be there that evening.
Gschwantner created wall objects with a complex structure, which, with reflections of baroque paintings on the myth of gold, address the theme of “Ruina montium”. That’s what the Romans called their mining technique for mining gold. It worked in a similar way to today’s fracking. The front and back of the works merge into an aesthetic overall picture – a contradiction to the intervention in nature, Robert Gschwantner’s main theme as an artist. The exhibition can be seen from April 19 to 25, from Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. More regarding the artist and his work:
