From April 10 to 11, several localities in central and northern Mali were targeted by threats or attacks from obscurantist forces. A desperate attempt by the enemies of the country in their adventure.
On the night of April 9 to 10, several economic operators in the rural commune of Sirakolola, located a few kilometers from the urban commune of Koulikoro were victims of thefts targeted by unidentified armed bandits. Despite a pursuit and sweeps by the Gendarmerie to the level of Kolokani, these lawless men remained untraceable.
24 hours following this incident in the center, precisely in the Koulikoro region, a transport vehicle coming from Ménaka to Gao via tawardé, in the North, was the target of a tragic terrorist attack. According to our source, this terrorist attack is to the credit of the fighters of the Islamic State in the Greater Sahel (EIGS). We deplore the execution of three (3) people and four (4) injured during this attack, according to the explanations of our source before adding that the vehicle was taken away by the terrorists.
Then, the day following this barbarity, the town of Tidermene, still to the north, was not spared. She was the target of an attack by ISGS fighters. They stormed the town with warning shots before proceeding to rob shops. According to this, several heads of cattle were taken away by these terrorists and other sources speak of the kidnapping of certain health workers, which remains to be verified.
On the same day (April 11), we still deplore a cowardly and barbaric attack on the Bla checkpoint in the center. Around 11:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Bla security post, located on the RN-06 (Ségou road) was attacked by armed terrorist groups (GAT).
This attack recorded the injury of two people including a truck driver seriously injured by bullets in both legs and a trader slightly injured. Then, material damage was observed, including the burning of a RAV 4 brand vehicle parked in front of customs. We report that there was no loss of human life.
As soon as informed, a reinforcement of the FDS squared the place to carry out sweeps.
To help the FDS carry out their sovereign mission of defense and security, we need local police with the civilian population, which remains the eye and ear of the FDS.
