With the support of the most outstanding of the Peronist leadership of the interior, among which there were mayors and candidates, Martín Llaryora had his baptism as an official candidate for governor on Tuesday night. In front of that rostrum, the capital boss promised to solve three of the main problems facing the management of Juan Schiaretti. “We are going to be the ones who resolve the conflict in education, health and insecurity,” remarked the Peronist candidate.
Llaryora was made official as a candidate for governor on October 3, in an act with militants from the capital. Last night he spoke before the mayors of the interior, many of whom (194) hit the local elections with the provincial ones on June 25.
“It was you, the mayors of the interior, who led José Manuel de la Sota to victory in 1998. Now it will be you who lead to a new triumph of Peronism in the province,” said the PJ candidate.
The ruling party carried out the so-called “Provincial meeting of political and territorial work with mayors and candidates of Hacemos por Córdoba”. It was a way of thanking the decision of almost 200 mayors for sticking the municipal elections with the provincial ones.
Llaryora did not avoid talking regarding the issues that concern the ruling party today. At the entrance gate to the Quórum hotel property, a group of self-convened teachers demanded better salaries. Schiaretti and Llaryora had to go in front of the demonstrators.
The Peronist candidate, following assuring that his administration will be “federal” and “with the mayors”, showed himself as the manager who can solve the three problems that today complicate the Schiarettista administration.
“This management model will continue, because as a resident of the Capital told me, progress does not tire. It is difficult for the worst of the past to solve the problems. We will be the ones who will face the challenge of improving education, health and solving the problems of insecurity”, insisted Llaryora. In the first row, Schiaretti listened to him, who faces these conflicts that are still unresolved.
He also targeted his main opponent, Luis Juez, candidate for governor of Juntos por el Cambio.
The event was organized in detail. Before Llaryora, mayors from the different regions of the interior spoke to support the official candidate. Schiaretti entered almost last and preceded the candidate to speak.
The governor defended his management. But his speech was more of a national leader than of a provincial leader.
He repeated concepts that he uses in his forays as a presidential candidate. “Despite the context of a country in crisis crossed by the crack, Córdoba did not stop growing and we respect the rules. We do not insult anyone, while in the country there is a rejection of the political leadership”, emphasized Schiaretti.
The governor also dedicated a paragraph of his 18-minute message to the opposition. “The opposition uses insults, Chicanas and they demand the date of the elections as if it were a problem. What happens is that they have no proposals, ”he emphasized.
Llaryora himself explained that it was a meeting of the members of the Hacemos por Córdoba alliance, which he promised to expand.
“Those of us who are here led the victory of the PJ in the previous elections. In the coming days we will launch this expanded alliance with more leaders from other parties, ”said Llaryora, who inaugurated his campaign slogan:“ Forward ”.
On Monday, April 24, two days before the presentation of the alliance, the new name of the space will be announced: Hacemos Juntos por Córdoba, with the contribution of non-partisans.
The front player Gill formalized his incorporation of the Cordovan PJ
His presence, accompanied by more than 30 mayors from his sector, was one of the relevant data of the act of the ruling party: the mayor of Villa María, Martín Gill, who continues to say that he is a member of the national Front of All, last night he was in the second row of the special guests, confirming what was already an open secret: he joined the Hacemos por Córdoba alliance.
Sitting next to Juan Manuel Llamosas from Rio Cuartos, Gill put an end to doubts regarding whether he was still in the local space that responds to the Casa Rosada.
The Villamariense mayor had been giving signals. In his statements he repeated that he worked for the provincial PJ unit, but that at the national level he was still in the Frente de Todos.
His presence confirmed that he will work for Martín Llaryora’s candidacy for governor, but it is not known if he will occupy a place on the list of candidates.
It was mentioned that he might be a candidate for provincial legislator for the San Martín department. Although other sources say that this place will be for the mayor of Villa Nueva, Natalio Graglia, a trusted leader from Villa Mari.
Gill is being investigated by the Justice for a complaint of gender violence coordinated by prosecutor Juliana Companys.
