“Adwan Al-Ahmari’s Perspective on the Erasure of “Nimr Al-Nimr” from Tehran’s Streets Following Iran’s Reconciliation with Saudi Arabia”

The writer Adwan Al-Ahmari commented on the removal of a sign with the name “Nimr Al-Nimr” from the streets of Iran following the two countries resumed relations. Al-Ahmari posted a photo of the moment the painting was removed and commented that Iran will also discard Al-Houthi as it did with the painting. He further stated that Saudi Arabia supports legitimacy and is not a party to the conflict in Yemen, which is a Yemeni-Yemeni crisis. Despite the attempts of some Houthi group affiliates to spread illusions of victory and reject Saudi-Omani mediation, they are the only losers.

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The writer, Adwan Al-Ahmari, commented on the removal of a sign bearing the name “Nimr Al-Nimr” from the streets of Iran, following the agreement with the Kingdom to resume relations between the two countries.

Al-Ahmari published a picture documenting the moment the painting “Nimr al-Nimr” was removed from a street in Iran, and commented on it by saying: “Just as Iran threw the painting of Nimr al-Nimr Street in the trash, it will also throw al-Houthi.”

And he continued: “Saudi Arabia is a supporter of legitimacy and is not a party to the conflict. The crisis since its first day is Yemeni-Yemeni, and no matter how some affiliates of the Houthi group try to sow illusions of victory in the media and reject Saudi-Omani mediation, they are the only losers.”

In conclusion, the removal of the sign bearing the name “Nimr Al-Nimr” from the streets of Iran following the agreement to resume relations with Saudi Arabia sends a strong message. Adwan Al-Ahmari rightly pointed out that just as Iran throws away the painting of Nimr Al-Nimr, it will also throw away al-Houthi. The conflict in Yemen is a Yemeni-Yemeni crisis, and Saudi Arabia’s support for legitimacy confirms its stance as a mediator in the matter. Hopefully, with dialogue and mediation, the situation in Yemen will eventually resolve itself, and peace will be restored to the region.
