There are only two small games left in the Canadian season. Everyone will agree with me when I say it’s time for her to end…
Because it’s starting to get complicated for everyone when you look at the injured situation within the team. It’s easier to count healthy (regular) players than to count cripples right now and that’s a problem.
Kirby Dach is notably part of the injured lot. He hasn’t played since the end of March due to an upper body injury and I don’t think we should expect to see him play once more if we think that this morning the Canadian has recalled Joël Teasdale (and Frédéric Allard).
Despite everything, it is still interesting to note that the great center player jumped on one of the Bell Complex ice rinks in Brossard earlier today to test his injury.
It didn’t necessarily feel like a super intense “workout”, but at least he’s skating.
There it is, the good news.

I say this is good news because in fact, there have been so many problems with the injured this season in Montreal that things might have taken a completely different turn.
Need I remind you that back in February we were told Dach was ill… And the Canadian later claimed that his symptoms of illness felt were linked to a lower body injury?
You understand what I’m trying to insinuate.
That said, is there a world where the Canadiens play Dach in the last game of the season Thursday night at the Bell Center, while sending Teasdale back to Laval? There is one…
But it mostly feels like a surreal world. The Canadian will not want to risk anything in terms of his fitness and in fact, his presence for the match is useless because the season is already over.
If I had an old $2 to put down, I’d say his season is officially over. Brief.
He was perhaps not with him on the same ice this morning, but let us note that Cole Caufield also trained solo. The exercises he completed were very similar to those of Dach and it’s a bit normal since the two are just starting to skate once more for now.
Caufield, who practiced on the second ice, had to “disturb” his teammates while they were training on the first ice surface…
And the guys looked happy to see him skate. At least, that’s what I tell myself when I see the huge smile on Johnathan Kovacevic’s face.
He’s really loved in the bedroom, little Cole.

– Like all other players his age, Lane Hutson has weaknesses in his game.
#Habs prospect Lane Hutson has several strengths thanks to his impressive skill set.
But despite his historic year, he also has a few weaknesses he needs to work on.
The decision to return to the NCAA for another year is definitely the right call.
