Out of 73 candidates, the SPÖ only allows three for the member survey: Pamela Rendi-Wagner, Hans Peter Doskozil and Andreas Babler. The application of the giraffe, which was actually one of the favorites, was rejected along with 69 others. In order to calm the party rebel, she now receives a red mandate for the Federal Council.
VIENNA – In the SPÖ Presidium, heads are smoking in the morning. “Unfortunately we had to turn down 70 applications. Unfortunately, they did not meet the strict criteria that we set followingwards,” regrets Secretary General Christian Deutsch.
