“We heard a baby crying since last night,” confided a resident of the Pas-de-Calais Habitat building, in the Hochettes district of Arras. On the sixth floor of entrance nº1 of this building, rue Millet in Arras, the firefighters had to intervene at the request of worried residents, around 8 a.m. They had to use a large ladder to break a window and gain access to the apartment before finding that a 32-year-old woman had died there. Given the rigor mortis, the death would date back to more than 24 hours before the intervention of the firefighters. The one-year-old baby was left with family members, reports The voice of the North.
The police officers from the Arras police station, in charge of the investigation, are still on site to make findings and try to understand the origins of this mother’s death. A legal expertise should allow to know a little more.
