Derlis Olmedo, is an artist from Oviedo who made his works known on social networks, now he dreams of meeting Nadia Ferreira personally and giving her the beautiful painting he made for her.
To make his masterpiece, the artist used the hilorama technique (use of colored threads to draw figures). Since this year, the artist perfected his skills and decided to make some paintings with threads that were very successful and therefore he decided to sell them.
“She is my first portrait. She inspired me by how she exalted Paraguay. I uploaded the result to the networks and it went viral,” Olmedo expressed happily to La Nación/Nación Media.
Nadia Ferreira’s painting has a dimension of “85×85″ and used more than 320 nails, in addition to 5,000 stretched threads. “I received offers to sell the work, but I don’t want to. My idea is to personally give the piece to Nadia when she returns to our country”, omombe’u.
