ALGIERS – Mr. Wassim Kouidri was appointed, Monday, as CEO of the Saidal group, replacing Fatoum Akacem, announced the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production in a press release.
During an Ordinary General Assembly of the Saidal Group, held in extraordinary session at the headquarters of the ministry and devoted to the reconfiguration of the board of directors, as well as the election of a new president of the board of directors, the members present and voting proceeded to the unanimous election of Mr. Kouidri, as Chairman of the Board of Directors, for a term of three years, as well as his appointment to his new position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, according to the same source.
Mr. Kouidri has been appointed head of the public pharmaceutical group to replace Fatoum Akacem whose mandate has expired and who is called to other functions, the same document states.
A doctor by training, the new CEO has practiced medicine both in Algeria and abroad. He joined the Saidal group in 2002 at the regional annex of Oran, his evolution within the group propelled him to the position of central director at the level of general management, recalls the ministry.
“A perfect connoisseur of the pharmaceutical market and the pharmaceutical and chemical industry in general, his appointment at the helm of the public group will undoubtedly contribute to the development of Saidal and the national pharmaceutical market in general, and will allow the Group to regain its position as leader. and locomotive that is due to him”, indicates the same source.
