Marcelo leads his team, Fluminense, to a big victory over Flamengo, and to crown the Brazilian Carioca Championship title.
Fluminense defeated Flamengo, 4-1, at dawn today, Monday, in the final of the Brazilian Carioca Championship.
In the match that was held at the “Maracana” stadium, Marcelo, the former Real Madrid player, opened the scoring (D30), and German Kano added the second goal (D43), to end the first half with a score (2-0).

In the second half, Kano scored his second personal goal, and the third for his team (D56), Alexandre concluded the Fluminense quadruple (D65), and Ayrton Lucas succeeded in scoring the goal to reduce the difference in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
Fluminense, who also won the championship title in the last edition (2022), raised the number of its titles to 33 in this regional tournament for the state of Rio de Janeiro.
It is noteworthy that the Carioca Championship is the first for Marcelo since his return to Brazil, following his contract with Olympiacos, Greece, was terminated last February.
