A child was transported in very serious condition this morning to a hospital following being injured in a residence in Saint-Côme–Linière, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) was called around 10:30 a.m. this morning to assist the paramedics in a house in Saint-Côme–Linière, a municipality located regarding fifteen kilometers south of Saint-Georges, in Beauce.
“He allegedly inflicted accidental injuries on himself […] We fear for the life of the child, ”confirmed Sergeant Claude Doiron, of the SQ.
Mr. Doiron confirmed that an investigation was ongoing, and that no further details would be made public at this time.
