The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 106 Russian soldiers returned to Moscow as a result of the exchange.
Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that the defenders of Mariupol were also among the freed Ukrainians.
“We managed to carry out another large exchange of prisoners. We brought home 100 of our people – they are soldiers, sailors, border guards, national guards. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol, “Azovstal”, Hostomel. Some people were seriously injured, fell ill. We will everything necessary so that each of them receives all the help they need,” Yermak said.
