Simply immoral. An ambulance driver took advantage of the fact that an old lady had just died to steal her from her home.
Paramedic Mark Titley, 58, attended the 94-year-old woman’s home in Shrewsbury, England.
He stole 60 pounds sterling, or regarding 100 Canadian dollars. The whole scene was captured on video.
Titley was part of the team called to the elderly woman’s home. She had collapsed in her garden last June.
Resuscitation maneuvers were practiced in vain for 20 minutes.
The paramedic would have entered the house of the deceased to look for a document. He would then have taken the opportunity to commit his theft.
When he realized he had been filmed, he quickly handed over the money.
However, the victim’s son saw the video incriminating the paramedic. He was upset. He filed a complaint with the police.
Mark Titley admitted to stealing from the deceased. He was recently sentenced to a suspended prison sentence as well as to pay a fine.
