The main mission of the eSanté Agency is to facilitate the sharing and exchange of patient health data between healthcare professionals involved in their healthcare journey. The various eHealth services thus facilitate the follow-up and coordination of your medical care, and allow you as a patient to play an active role in your medical follow-up. All this through a single account, your “eHealth account”. A brief overview of the eHealth services available to you.

The Shared Care Record (DSP) is your personal and secure electronic health record which, as soon as it is activated, will bring together your essential health data submitted by the health professionals who follow you. It is under your direct control: access to your DSP is reserved for you as well as for healthcare professionals approved in Luxembourg to whom you give access rights. All access to your DSP (consultation/data deposit) is traced, with indication of the name of the person, the date and the time.

Currently, four types of documents are sent automatically in the DSP: lab results, medical imaging and related reports, patient summary and service summary for patients followed by a referring doctor. Other documents, such as the hospital discharge letter, will follow shortly. And as a patient, you can submit health information yourself in the personal space of your DSP.

The Electronic Vaccination Record (CVE), which has been in progressive deployment since 2022, dematerializes the current yellow card. It offers several advantages: a consultation of your vaccines possible at any time, vaccination reminder notifications, personalized vaccination recommendations.

The service MaHealth@EU is a health data exchange service within the EU via a secure network linking the National Contact Points for e-health, which allows:

1) to share a patient summary containing essential health information with a doctor abroad.

2) to retrieve a drug from a pharmacy in another European country by transferring a digital prescription.

As a Luxembourg affiliate you can currently benefit from the exchange of the patient summary, by registering your consent in your DSP (Profile configurator/Access rights).
