LIBREVILLE, April 2 (Infosplusgabon) – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday on the railway leading to the death of a young man. Informed of the situation by local residents, the Transgabonais Operating Company (SETRAG) immediately dispatched an ambulance and a medical team to attend to the victim. Unfortunately, she will die before arriving at the hospital center, reports a press release received this Sunday at the editorial staff of Infosplusgabon.
The General Management of Setrag, a subsidiary of the French group Eramet, and all the railway workers send their sincere condolences to the family and assure them of their support in this painful ordeal.
Also according to the press release, an investigation has been opened by the competent authorities to determine the exact circumstances of this tragic accident.
While reiterating the safety rules around the railway line, Setrag recalls the importance of respecting them because the safety of local residents is a priority for Setrag. Indeed, each year awareness campaigns on rail safety with residents living near the railway and in schools are organized to raise awareness among the population.
Setrag reiterates its sincere condolences to the family bereaved by this tragic loss.
