ÖBB is continuing to renew its vehicle fleet and has now ordered 27 more Desiro ML electric multiple units from Siemens. They are to be used in local and regional transport and put into service in 2025. The trains, which can travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h, have three sections and are 75 meters long. They have around 220 seats and up to 24 bicycle parking spaces. There are two wheelchair spaces, one of the two toilets is barrier-free and equipped with a changing table. There are power sockets in each row of seats and free WiFi. (awm)
