The Ministry of Transport has shared photos of the construction progress at the Cairo University Metro Station, which is part of the third phase of the third line of the metro. This station will be an interchange between the second and third lines of the metro, transporting passengers between the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer and the railway “Upper Line” in Giza. Part 3C of the third phase will cover a length of 7.1 km, including three underground stations and one upper station. The trial operation plan is in October 2023. The second part, 3B, will be implemented at a length of 6.6 km and consists of one underground station and four overhead stations, with the trial operation plan set for July 2023. The Ministry of Transport is also working on implementing the third phase of the project in several locations.
