OÖN and its partners are awarding this for the 30th time this year. Entries are possible at nachrichten.at/pegasus2023. Companies can apply in five categories: Beacons, Innovation Emperors, Success Stories, Hopes for the Future and Entrepreneur/Manager of the Year.
Their chance has already been used, among other things, by the Fussl ModestraßeAustria’s last large textile retail chain with the managing directors Karl and Ernest Mayr. The company, which started out as a general store in Ort im Innkreis, celebrated its 150th anniversary last year and employs 1400 people, has bucked the trend and has consciously avoided an online shop. The expansion in Germany is driven forward.
The construction and processing group is among the success stories and innovation champions Bernegger from Molln: The company around boss Kurt Bernegger has developed a concept to reduce truck traffic in connection with the transport of rock material, gravel and sand. The locations in Linz, Enns and Spital/Pyhrn have a train connection. In March, the ground-breaking ceremony took place for the most modern sorting plant in Europe, in which 100,000 tons of plastic waste and light metal are to be sorted every year from 2024 and also recycled in the future.
All applicants come to the gala
The list of nominees for the Pegasus will be announced in OÖN on April 29th. The trophies will be presented on June 1st at a glamorous gala in Linz’s Brucknerhaus. All applicants are invited.
