The Ministry of Justice is heading towards organizing a new recruitment match to enter the legal profession next year, with its categorical refusal to cancel the exam, which caused widespread controversy.
In this context, the Ministry confirmed in a statement that it followed “a group of reactions that accompanied the results of the written test of the eligibility exam to practice the legal profession organized on December 4, 2022, and was keen to assume its full responsibility in interacting with the questions of constitutional institutions.”
The ministry added that it “continued to interact positively with some of those who failed, as organizing a new exam falls within this framework,” while describing their controversial demand to “cancel the exam results” as “unfounded.”
In the same context, the Ministry confirmed that the door to reviewing the points obtained for all candidates who failed the last exam remained open, as the Ministry interacted positively with all requests received in this context, whether by or without a judicial decision.
In its statement, the Ministry pointed out that some of the candidates who failed the exam “filed several lawsuits in this matter, and judicial rulings were issued in their regard, some of which were not accepted, while others rejected the application.” According to the text of the communication.
The match, organized by the Ministry of Justice, sparked controversy that lasted for months and unprecedented protests in the history of legal competitions in Morocco, as a number of those who failed demanded the annulment of its results, claiming its “lack of transparency and credibility.”
Despite the Ministry of Justice announcing the organization of a new exam next year, contrary to what was in practice, the “National Coordination of Eligibility Examinations to Practice the Legal Profession” clings to its demands represented in conducting an oral exam for all competing students or organizing a new exam before the October session under a set of guarantees .
